Chaos Brewers enter Davo's Clone contest to recreate their The DON.
For us chaos brewers, that meant a real challenge. Started by brewing a Russian Imperial Stout (R.I.S.). Added lots of barley, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. This resulted in a nice, heavy and thick beer. Then added different amounts of whiskey in different batches. What do you say, Matured in oak? Why not. Then we just waited. Will it be alright? And yes, it is. A beer worthy of Chaos. Is it the DON? No, definitely not. Is it flavorful. It certainly is! Hence, Chaos Brewers has given the name come unDONe to this beer. Too much of this and your soul unravels.
May 12 is the day. Then the verdict of the brewers of DAVO will come down. We'll just have to squeeze our butts together for a little while longer.
